Mental and Emotional Release ® (MER) underlies each of the 3 Phases. Learn about MER’s 100% proven efficacy, drawing on clinical and academic research as well as hundreds of case studies.

In clinical research, Mental and Emotional Release® Therapy has been proven to be effective in the treatment of depression, with all patients in the test group experiencing a full reduction in symptoms.In academic research with at-risk teenagers, all participants resolved anxiety issues and researchers were able to measure significant behavioral changes.
In hundreds of case studies ranging from PTSD to minor anxiety, MER® has been proven to be effective in the release of negative emotions and limiting decisions. It’s extremely efficient and often gets positive results within the first session — even with long-lasting problems, or for patients who had not responded to other treatments.

The changes MER® brings have been shown to be permanent. Unlike some other therapies that require constant monitoring or on-going medication to prevent relapse, once the client has made a significant shift in MER®, it’s done. I’ve never had a client return complaining of an issue we previously worked with. Of course, new problems can arise. And, when the technique is used properly and you experience a complete release of negative emotions and limiting beliefs, the original issue will not return.Through the release work, you gain a baseline of mental and emotional health that allows you to deal with new problems more quickly and effectively.

Rather than spending months or years in therapy, most problems and symptoms — even those caused by severe trauma or those that have been ingrained for decades — will literally disappear within one or two sessions, a total of 5 to 8 hours. In fact, one of the downsides to the process is that it works so quickly and thoroughly to eradicate long-standing issues that clients have a hard time believing it! They feel symptom-free, yet may have trouble trusting that such a dramatic shift happened so swiftly and easily.We have been trained to expect that creating change takes a long time, which is why most people give up or don’t even bother trying. Fortunately, change does not need to be difficult to be profound and transformational.

We also work on conscious communication, because whatever facet of your life needs to change – whether it’s your career, purpose, health, or interpersonal relationships – communication is always central. Even when you’re super clear on your own values, if you slip into poor communication habits, you’ll find the same things recurring in the same old way. It boils down to this: if you aren’t able to communicate your needs effectively, how can you expect to have them met in all areas of your life?

Another essential part of the process is developing the skills to identify, set and enforce healthy boundaries in all your relationships across the board. Your boundaries are derived from your values. Having clearly-defined values will help you to identify, then set and protecting your boundaries. For some, it’s learning to say ‘no’. For others, it’s having the courage to ask for a shift in the behavior of another person. And, in best case scenarios, letting someone know your values up front – at the beginning of the relationship – sets them up for success in honoring your boundaries.
